| Gig Info/Notes: | Skatoons, Spirit and Saxshop are putting on a benefit gig at the Brunswick Pub on Wednesday 29th August. Brighton saxophonist and teacher Simon D'souza went on holiday to France just a couple of weeks ago, 1st August 2012 and was diagnosed with a 5cm tumour in his left frontal lobe. A few days later he was air ambulanced to Princess Royal Hospital in Haywards Heath. After that he was transferred to the Hurstwood Park Neurosurgery unit and had a brain operation where they removed the tumour. He is now waiting for the oncology report, so we know whether it is benign or malignant, what his survival chances are etc. The staff at Hurstwood Park have been amazing and we want to do something to help them carry on their amazing work, so friends of Simon are putting on a charity gig night on Wednesday 29th August at the Brunswick Pub, Holland Road, Hove, BN3. Please do come to the gig - it will feature Skatoons, Spirit and Saxshop, three bands that Simon has a lot to do with. Simon is going to try and make it down on the night, and if he can he'll play. |
